I Still Love H.E.R. is a booking/entertainment company created by LadyGemStar & KickAssAlyssia dedicated to the love of hip hop and its elements through the feminine experience. I Still Love H.E.R. hosts a monthly event in Chicago where the four elements are represented by featuring a variety of Chicago female DJs, MCs, Breakers and artists. We want to create a platform and raise awareness to the importance of the feminine contribution in the hip hop community in Chicago, as well as in its culture. Due to popular demand, I Still Love H.E.R. returns to every 4th Monday!!!! This month we welcome FM SUPREME back to our stage with all new material for you to listen to! Also performing up and coming artist LADY E! Music by our guest DJ SANDRA SUAVE and art by MS REVO! FM SUPREME Jessica Disu aka FM Supreme, 24, is a 2X international performing poet, artist, activist, educator + MC, born + raised in Chicago, IL. She is a 2X champion of Louder Than A Bomb, the Chicago youth poetry slam festival and has served as coach + youth leader in that slam as well as in Brave New Voices (HBO/International Youth Poetry Slam Festival). Disu is the founder of CommonWealth Music Group and serves as a mentor to youth across the globe. As FM Supreme, Disu has shared stages + platforms with Robin Robinson (FOX News), Lupe Fiasco, Common, Nick Cannon, MC Lyte, Nikki Giovanni, Kurtis Blow, Saul Williams, Chuck D, Q Tip, KRS One, Russell Simmons, Sean Combs, David Banner, Spike Lee, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Govenor Pat Quinn, Rev Jesse Jackson Sr. + a host of others. FM Supreme is a motivational speaker and well known Hip Hop musician across City Colleges Chicago + Chicago Public Schools. FM Supreme has appeared on ABC 7 News, WCIU, CAN TV, WBEZ, WVON, Chicago Tribune, The Red Eye, Venus Zine, Columbia College Chronicle + a host of other media outlets. FM Supreme is the founder of The Chicago International Youth Peace Movement, “No Turning Back” and is on a mission to inspire local + global youth peace. She has successfully launched the Youth Peace Movement locally and in The United Kingdom. LADY E Lady “E” is a dope emcee as well as the host of Ease Dropping Radio. Her diverse talents in song writing, singing, and emceeing is well respected. Born and raised in Joliet “E” discovered a rare love for rap. Influenced by Missy Elliot, Aaliyah, and Selena she embraced their skills labeling them her sisters in music. “E” recorded her first mixtape in 2001 “The Class Act”. The project was poorly recorded and received harsh criticism but that only drove “E” to improve. In 2005 she released another mixtape “The Class Of 2006” dedicated to her fellow classmates graduating from high school. In 2006 she linked up with local producer Shane Jackson to record a serious of well known Lady “E” songs; She can’t do it, Tight Dress, and Badd Chick. In early 2007 she joined a new indie label H.A.F Music which included En2rage, AJ Ryme, DoM J and Chandrika. She focused on a new and improved sound on her project “Real Face”. “E” improved her skills by giving her fans more of her emotionally. In 2008 she parted ways with H.A.F Music. In 2009 she launched a online talk show for local artist “Ease Dropping” partnered with AJ Ryme. She interviewed local and main stream artist. She is currently ready to drop “Thrill of the Chase” mixtape September 17, 2009. This feminist, role model, talk show host, rapper, singer, and model is a all in one special gift to Hip-Hop. “I want to make feel good music, music you can relate to and have fun playing. I’m not a thug misses or a stripper rapper I’m that girl in the middle. The girl in the middle never has her say until now. I respect my black sisters and it’s my duty to respect all people in my music. If you have a chance to speak to the world and influence them like every great person has you better say something worth hearing.” Music will be provided by our guest DJ SANDRA SUAVE Co-Founder of B.BLYSS! Productions. Resident DJ at EM Lounge Chicago & B.BLYSS! Productions. She has an eclectic style that includes multiple music genres such as Hip Hop, House, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Top 40, Reggae, Disco/Funk, Pop. Check out her Hip Hop set at I Still Love H.E.R. and our resident DJ RHATED R (CHI) Rhated R tried rapping and after realizing there was a lot more to rapping than met the eye, she gave up all hope at becoming a rapper. She later co-hosted a college radio show for a short period of time. While attending college, Rhated R interned for several major record labels. She eventually landed at THE pioneering hip-hop label. At the time, the music industry wasn’t ready for the music download craze. Unfortunately, it cost a lot of people their jobs and Rhated R was a casualty to a series of layoffs. Still having feelings for her first love, she took a chance on love again and rekindled the love affair…this time from the DJ booth! Art showcased this month by MS.
